      The mayor presented changes to the department's organisational structure.

      A proposal from the Community of Sant'Egidio in Rome, sent by email on 11/10/09, invites the City of Hafnarfjörður to support the campaign against the death penalty by linking the city's website to the official Cities for Life website.

      The Town Council proposes to the Municipal Council:

      “Hafnarfjörður Town Council hereby agrees to authorise Haukar to proceed with the accelerated works at Ásvellir, in accordance with their request of 1 September 2009 for 500 seats. The authorisation is on the basis and for the reasons set out in Haukar's submission, in order to fulfil the exemption conditions of the KSÍ for competition licences for the club's senior teams, so that their matches can be held at Ásvellir in the top men's and women's football divisions. The arrangement and execution of the work shall be in accordance with the regulations of the Executive Board.“

      The Town Council proposes to the Municipal Council:“Hafnarfjörður Town Council hereby authorises the Quarter Mile Club to proceed with urgent works on its site at Kapelluhraun, in accordance with the club's request of 3 September 2009. 

      The arrangement and execution of the work shall be in accordance with the regulations of the Executive Board.“

  • 09103086 – Football pitch, shared use

    A sports representative attended the meeting and went over the matter, but discussions are ongoing regarding the future arrangement of these matters.

    The Town Council emphasises that discussions between the leaders of Haukar and FH, under the guidance of the sports representative, should continue regarding a shared focus and vision for a partnership on the use of the town's sports facilities and their future development and construction.

  • 09103072 – SSH, Annual General Meeting 2009

    Lagt fram fundarboð Samtaka sveitarfélaga á höfuðborgarsvæðinu þar sem boðað er til aðalfundar SSH og ársfunda Sorpu bs., Strætó bs. og SHS bs. föstudaginn 6. nóvember nk. í safnaðarheimili Kársnessóknar við Hábraut í Kópavogi. %0DEinnig lagt fram bréf framkvæmdastjóra þar sem kallað eftir tilnefningum í fulltrúaráð.

  • 0908064 – HS Orka hf, sale of shares

    To reconsider the notice from HS Orka hf announcing the sale of Sandgerðisbær's 0.322981% share and Orkuveita Reykjavíkur's 31.229111% share in the company.

    The Town Council refers the following to the Municipal Council: “The Municipal Council of Hafnarfjörður agrees to waive its pre-emption right on the shares of Sandgerði and Orkuveita Reykjavíkur in HS Orka hf.“;

    The Town Council refers the matter to the acting town solicitor and the Environment Committee/Local Agenda 21.;

  • 09102592 – Tjarnarvellir 11, pharmacy

    A submission from the Medicines Agency, dated 13 October 2009, is presented, requesting an opinion on a new pharmacy licence, in accordance with the 3rd paragraph of Article 20 of the Medicines Act No. 93/1994.

    The Town Council has no objections to the application and instructs the acting town solicitor to prepare a report on the matter.;

  • 0812160 – The Straumsvík Aluminium Smelter, petition lists for expansion

    The Town Council, in view of residents' wishes for a referendum on the detailed plan for the expansion of the aluminium smelter in Straumsvík, instructs the Head of Planning and the Head of the Planning Office to enter into discussions with the smelter's management regarding the status of the said detailed plan and other related matters.- and Building Department of the City of Hafnarfjörður to enter into discussions with the aluminium smelter's management regarding the status of the aforementioned detailed plan and other matters concerning its implementation.;

  • 09103085 – Public Health Surveillance, 2010 Budget

    The budget for the public health surveillance of the Hafnarfjörður and Kópavogur area was presented and approved at the meeting of the Public Health Committee on 5 October.

    The Town Council refers the matter to the 2010 budget process.;
