  Representatives of the Council of Elders attended the meeting and various matters affecting the interests of senior citizens were reviewed, such as property taxes and concessionary terms, other service charges, the status of St. Joseph's Hospital and Sólvang, and the development of a care home in Völlum.

  The Town Council thanks the board of the Municipal Council of Elders and the good exchange of views.;

  A proposal from NORDJOBB in Iceland, dated 23 February 2011, has been submitted, requesting the employment of a nordjobber by the City of Hafnarfjörður for the summer of 2011.

  Final report submitted for the administrative review in conjunction with the 2010 review.

  A proposal for the write-off of claims for the year 2010 was presented. The Head of the Finance Department attended the meeting and presented the matter.

  Email of 1 March 2011 regarding the 'Green April' project was presented for information.

  The Town Council approves registration for the project and instructs the Environment Committee/Local Agenda 21 to publicise information about environmental projects run by the council.;

  The Town Council confirms the above-mentioned waiver for its part and proposes to the Town Council: “The Town Council of Hafnarfjörður confirms the above-mentioned waiver in item 12 of the minutes of the Town Council from 3 March.“;

  The Town Council confirms the above-mentioned deed of transfer for its part and proposes to the Town Council: “The Town Council of Hafnarfjörður confirms the submitted deed of transfer in item 13 of the minutes of the Town Council meeting of 3 March.“

  The Town Council denies the request, in light of the report from the Planning and Building Department and the existing regulations on the release of plots.;

  The Town Council rejects the request in light of the report from the Department of Planning and Building and the existing regulations on the release of plots, but has no objection to the company transferring the plot to the relevant banking institution.;

  A summary of applications for grants towards the payment of property tax for 2011 was presented.

  A proposal, without date, from Ragnheiður Kristinsdóttir and Jóhanna Khorchai Stefnisdóttir regarding a grant for participation in the WorldSkills World Championships in London.

  The Town Council approves a grant of 13,000 kr. to be taken from budget item 21-815, the Town Council's grant fund.;

• 11023019 – Leave Committee for Housewives in Hafnarfjörður, grant application 2011

  A proposal from the Leave Committee of Housewives in Hafnarfjörður, dated 21 February 2011, is presented, requesting a grant for a holiday stay in accordance with the relevant legislation.
