  The agenda for the Municipalities' Energy Resources Conference, to be held at Stórutjarnaskóli, Þingeyjarsveit on 13th May, was presented.

  The town council instructs its representative on the board of HS Veitur, Eyólfur Sæmundsson, to attend the conference.;

  A communication from the Association of Icelandic Local Authorities, dated 27 April 2011, is presented for information, introducing a study visit to Brussels for local councillors from 5 to 9 June.

  Notice of the Annual General Meeting of Suðurlindir Ltd, to be held on 20 May.

• 1105128 – Municipal Equalisation Fund, Municipal expenditure needs

  A letter from the Ministry of the Interior, dated 27 April 2011, is presented, announcing that Hafnarfjörður has been selected as one of 10 municipalities to participate in work on measuring the expenditure needs of municipalities.

• 11021352 – Annual accounts, audit 2010

  The annual accounts for 2010 for the municipal fund of Hafnarfjörður and its institutions were presented. The finance director and Auðunn Guðjónsson from KPMG attended the meeting.

  The Town Council refers the annual accounts of the Town Fund and its institutions to the first reading in the Town Council.;

• 1003350 – Gjáhella 1, administrative appeal

  A submission from Lögmann Árbæ Ltd, dated 30 April 2011, together with the ruling of the Ministry of the Interior dated 26 April 2011 concerning the above-mentioned administrative appeal. The Head of the Planning and Building Department attended the meeting and presented the case.

• 10101145 – Harbour Master, appointment 2010

  The decision of the Ministry of the Interior dated 2 May 2011 in the above-mentioned case is presented. The Personnel Director reports on the case.

• 10103513 – Agenda 21 for Local Authorities, revision

  A minutes of the Environment Committee/Local Agenda 21 from 20 April was presented, in which the above-mentioned matter was referred to the town council for its opinion.

• 1105245 – Loan facilities for the year 2011

  A mortgage deed was presented for Nordurhellu 1–3.

  The Town Council refers the following proposals to the Municipal Council: “The Municipal Council of Hafnarfjörður approves the attached mortgage deed and authorises the Mayor to sign all related documents.“;

  A proposal from Hans Óli Hansson, dated 4 May 2011, has been submitted, requesting a plot, site or area to build a house on an experimental basis.

  The Town Council refers the matter to the Planning and Building Department for comment.;

• 1104383 – The Red Cross, grant application

  A proposal from the Icelandic Red Cross, dated 25 April 2011, is presented, requesting a grant for the production of an educational video about suicide and its consequences.

  The town council cannot comply with the request.;

• 1105129 – The Elf, request for funding

  A proposal from SÁÁ, dated May 2011, regarding the purchase of the troll to support its activities, was presented.

  The town council cannot comply with the request.;

• 1105149 – Single Parents' Association, grant application

  A grant application from the Association of Single Parents, received on 3 May 2011, requesting a grant for the association's activities.
