  A submission from Sigurberg Guðjónsson, solicitor, on behalf of Vélaverkstæðis Hjalta Einarssonar, dated 14 September 2012, is presented, requesting permission to mortgage the plot.

• Property Tax 2012, Discount

  A summary of property tax relief for 2012 was presented. There is a negligible change year on year. The finance director presented the summary.

• 1208427 – Disabled people, housing

  A memorandum on housing needs and possible solutions was presented. The memorandum was discussed at the Family Council meeting on 5 September, which referred it to the Town Council.

  The Town Council instructs the Mayor to continue working on the matter and to present proposals at the Town Council meeting on 18 October.

  A question from the representative of the Independence Party, sent by email on 18 September, regarding the municipality of Hafnarfjörður's obligations to its principal creditors and business partners.The Financial Director attended the meeting, presented a response to the query and outlined it.

  The following question was put forward by the Councillor for the Independence Party:$line$“The majority of the Town Council agreed at its meeting on 6th September to reverse the pay cuts from 2009, for a specific group of employees of the City of Hafnarfjörður. Answers are requested to the following questions: $line$ $line$ – Why was it not decided to reverse the pay cuts or reductions in terms and conditions for all employees of the city?$line$ $line$- Can further changes to the salaries and terms and conditions of employees of Hafnarfjörður municipality be expected in the near future in order to ensure equality among the municipality's staff?“$line$
