• Cultural agreements

  The requested responses from Flensborgar- and Öldutúnsskóli regarding the operating arrangements of the Flensborgar-skóli Choir and the Öldutúnsskóli Choir were presented.

  The matter was discussed. The cultural agreements and general grant awards taking place in March were also discussed. Notices for arts and cultural grants and heritage protection grants were presented.

• 0901136 – Bæjarbíó, 2009 programme by Prime.

  Draft event programme presented and a contract for the hire of the premises.

• 0901137 – Gospel Festival in Víðistaðatún.

  A request has been submitted to hold a Gospel Festival in Víðistaðatún from 18 to 21 June. Use of Víðistaðaskóli, Thorsplan and the Christmas houses is requested, along with a sponsorship contribution.

  The cultural and tourism representative has been tasked with speaking with Baldvin Baldvinsson, the festival's organiser, and the management of Víðistaðaskóli.;

• 0807072 – Reykjanes Nature Reserve, tourism opportunities

  Reynir Ingibjartsson from the board of Reykjanes National Park attended the meeting. The discussion covered tourism opportunities in Krysuvík and a 2008 report detailing tourism potential in Reykjanes. Information and warning signs to be erected at Seltún in Krýsuvík this spring, in cooperation with the Tourist Board and the Reykjanes Nature Reserve board, were also discussed.

• Meetings with the tourism industry.

  Report on a meeting held at the Office of Culture and Tourism on 12 January with tourism operators in Hafnarfjörður. The minutes were presented.
