• 0905140 – Civic Artist and Incentive Grants 2009

  The Culture and Tourism Committee, together with the board of Hafnarborg, reviewed the submitted suggestions and applications.

  Decide unanimously who should receive the title of Artist in Residence of Hafnarfjörður 2009 and which two artists should receive encouragement grants. The grants will be presented at Björtir dagar.;

• 0806094 – Hafnarfjörður Theatre

  The 2008 annual report of the Hafnarfjörður Theatre was presented.

  Review the annual report and the annual accounts. The committee requests that the town's finance manager review the accounts and submit a report to the committee, as in previous years.The committee also agreed to request talks with the Ministry of Education regarding the status of the Hafnarfjörður Theatre and continued support for theatre activities in Hafnarfjörður.  The contract between the Hafnarfjörður Theatre, the Ministry of Education and the City of Hafnarfjörður expires at the end of the year. The cultural representative has been tasked with requesting talks as soon as possible.;

  Draft programme for the Bright Days festival presented; the festival runs from 28 May to 7 June.
