    • Support for Danish teaching in Iceland

      A letter dated 16 October 2007 from the Ministry of Education, together with a leaflet on support for Danish language teaching in Iceland, was presented.

    • 0710203 – Hraunvallaskóli

      A memorandum from the head of department regarding the headteacher's sick leave was presented.

      The Board of Education agrees that Ágústa Böðvarsdóttir will serve as headteacher during his sick leave.

    • 0703005 – Mind and Health

      The chairman submitted a letter to the Ministry of Social Affairs regarding the project.

    • 0710218 – Activity centre

      Letters regarding the after-school clubs at Hraunvallaskóli and Hvaleyrarskóli were presented for information. It was also noted that the project has begun in more schools in collaboration with the all-day schools.

    • 0710185 – Icelandic Language Day, 16 November 2007

      A letter from the education department was presented with guidelines for the nurseries regarding understaffing.

      The Education Council approves the proposed guidelines.

    • 0710200 – Hraunvallaskóli - increase in the position ratio of the assistant nursery school headteacher

      A letter from the nursery head teacher has been submitted requesting an increase in the assistant head teacher's management allowance.

      The Education Committee approves the request of the nursery head teacher and refers the matter to the preparation of the 2008 budget.
