  Information was presented on courses for school boards, to be held by the Association of Icelandic Local Authorities in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Culture and Home-School Partnership.

  A letter dated 21 March 2011 from the Children's Ombudsman was tabled, expressing concern about the cuts that have taken place and are planned in the country's local authorities.

  Geir Bjarnason, prevention officer, and Einar Ingi Magnússon, psychologist, attended the meeting.

  Drafts of a response to the MP's question were presented.

• 1003470 – Bus, driving within the city

  A report from the working group on intra-municipal driving was submitted. The municipal council refers the report to the Education Council, the Executive Council, the Family Council, the Planning and Building Council and the Environment Committee/Local Agenda 21 for comment.

  The Education Department is tasked with providing a report on behalf of the council.;
