• 1108190 – Nursery teachers' strike

  An overview of the situation regarding the nursery teachers' strike.

  The agreements were signed and the strike was called off on Saturday, 20 August. The Education Committee welcomes that an agreement has been reached and that there will be no disruption to the work of Hafnarfjörður's nurseries.The Education Committee agrees that a memorandum on the financial implications of the agreements will be compiled and presented at the committee's next meeting.

• 0907038 – Fee schedules in the education sector

  Discussion on the review of income thresholds for the additional nursery fee allowance.

  The Education Committee unanimously agrees to increase the income threshold for the additional nursery fee discount by 5% to offset the increase in general pay settlements.At the next council meeting, data will be presented on how the current subsidy system compares to the previous system.

• 11023021 – Youth centres and all-day school

  Ellert B. Magnússon, Director of Youth and Leisure Services, and Gunnar Rafn Sigurbjörnsson, Director of the Administrative Services Department, attended the meeting and reviewed the transfer of the full-day school to the Family Services Department.
