      Steinþór Einarsson will attend the meeting and present proposals for an amendment to the detailed plan for Þorlákstún.

      Landscape architect Thráinn Hauksson will attend and present proposals for the demarcation of the areas proposed for protection.

      Representatives of Hs attend the meeting and present the application and the environmental impact of the test drilling.

      Agreement between the City of Hafnarfjörður, Metan Ltd. and N1 Ltd. submitted to the committee.

      The committee welcomes the agreement. It is a good and important step in environmental matters and is in keeping with the spirit of Agenda 21.

    • 0709069 – South Coast Road, proposal from the town council of 4th September, referred to the Environment Committee/Local Agenda 21

      The Road Administration has applied for a permit for quarrying and soil investigations for the South Coast Road. At its meeting on 4 September, the Town Council referred the matter to UHN/Sd21 for comment.

      The Environment and Agenda 21 Committee draws attention to its remit concerning quarrying and nature conservation, in accordance with the Nature Conservation Act No. 44/1999. The Committee therefore requests a further presentation on the matter at its next meeting. The matter is deferred until the next meeting.

    • 0703082 – Equality Policy of the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður 2007-2011.

      The matter was deferred at the last meeting.

      The committee has no comments on the draft of the town's 2007-2011 equality policy.

    • 0701174 – Sustainable development - exhibition

      The opening of the exhibition will be on Saturday, 22nd September.
