• 0810273 – Krýsuvík restoration - Land reclamation.

  Considered Matfugls' request for the disposal of chicken manure in Krýsuvík on 13 October 2008. Berglind Guðmundsdóttir and Björn Hilmarsson attended the meeting and went over the matter, along with the contract with the Landgræðslan which expires at the turn of the year.

  The committee thanks the presenter, welcomes Matfugls' presentation, and proposes that the agreement with Landgræðslan regarding restoration work in Krýsuvík be extended. The committee wishes to point out that an agreement should be made with Sörli regarding grazing enclosures.

• 0810142 – Particulate matter pollution, measurements

  The matter was taken up again, as it had previously been on the agenda at the committee's last meeting.

Leggur nefndin til að reynt verði að koma færanlegum mengunarmæli fyrir í Hafnarfirði. Nefndin telur einnig að nauðsynlegt sé að sveitafélögin á höfuðborgarsvæðinu beiti sér í sameiningu gegn notkun nagladekkja.“

  A letter from Hálfdán Karlsson dated 21/10/2008 regarding the poor state of the grounds around Helgafell was presented.

  The committee thanks Hálfdán Karlsson for the suggestion and regrets that the police are not equipped to tackle the problem. The local representative's agenda is tasked with gathering information on the situation.
