UHN/Sd 21 sees no reason to make any comments on the matter as it currently stands. The committee nevertheless reminds the developers that any disruption during the works must be kept to a minimum. The Committee also endorses the comments of the Water Supply Manager on the importance of preventing any cross-contamination between this water and the drinking water, as the drinking water is one of the most important resources for the people of Hafnarfjörður.

The contracts for the Environmental Monitoring project were signed on 4th March.
The Environment Committee/Local Agenda 21 is pleased that the project has been launched and has high hopes for its success. The Committee thanks the many groups that applied to participate in the project, and also the town's primary schools for their involvement.
