Guðríður Guðmundsdóttir, Deputy Director of Social Services, and Kolbrún Benediktsdóttir, Chair of the Child Protection Committee, attended the meeting and reported on the state of child protection matters. Data was presented on the number and nature of cases, as well as a comparison with previous years.

      A representative of the Independence Party requests that representatives of all parties be included in the deliberations from the outset in the review of the rules and allocation guidelines of the social services.

      At the town council meeting on 27th October, the Family Council's proposal for changes to the regulations on travel services for disabled people was approved.

    • 09103148 – Sólvangsvegur, sale of flat

      The Family Council agrees, for its part, to sell a council-owned share-ownership flat at 3 Sólvangsvegur.
