The Family Board thanks the consultees for the useful comments and observations that have been received by the Board. The Council agrees with the view that special consideration must be given to the professional and managerial status of the leisure activities sector, and that greater emphasis will therefore be placed on professional diversity with the aim of increasing the quality of the service provided to children. $line$Likewise, the Council emphasises the importance and unequivocal value of cross-disciplinary collaboration among all those who work with children, and in this regard, endorses the views that m.a. are expressed in the review by the Faculty of Education, University of Iceland, regarding the importance of formulating a clear future strategy for leisure activities. Does the council also endorse the suggestion that ways should be sought to increase integration in the strategic planning of schools and leisure activities, with the interests of the service's users as a guiding principle? $line$$line$Booking of the representatives of the Independence Party:$line$The representatives of the Independence Party want a pilot scheme to be established in one school next academic year, combining the functions of youth clubs and all-day schools under the management of the Department of Culture and Recreation. A review of the work of the all-day schools and youth clubs in other schools in the town will be carried out in parallel. The next steps will then be decided based on the findings of the above work.$line$$line$Begging of the representatives of the Social Democrats and the Left-wing Greens:$line$The majority representatives of the Social Democrats and the Left-wing Greens emphasise that the comments made in the Youth Council's review are taken into account, including the importance of a distinction between the school and leisure activities of children and young people. The majority representatives also stress that if changes are to be made, their implementation will be carried out in the best possible cooperation and with agreement from the staff, and that a decision on this matter will be made as soon as possible, in order to end the uncertainty that has prevailed regarding the future arrangement of this matter.class.
