  The Finance Director of the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður explained the significant increase in pension liabilities that occurred in 2008.  The Harbour Board approves the current annual accounts, on the condition that the calculation of pension liabilities is reviewed and corrected if necessary, and that this is then reflected in next year's annual accounts.
  The Harbour Board therefore recommends that the Hafnarfjörður Town Council approves the annual accounts.

• 0805038 – Port charges in Straumsvík.

  The Chairman and the Harbour Master submitted a draft letter to the Minister of Industry, requesting that Hafnarfjörður and the Port of Hafnarfjörður take full part in the parties' negotiations on a new agreement regarding the aluminium smelter's facilities in Straumsvík, after the current agreement expires in 2014.

  The Harbour Board approves the draft and further agrees that it be sent to the Hafnarfjörður Town Council for consideration on behalf of the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður.;
