    • Budget, settlement and annual accounts 2010

      The harbour's annual accounts for 2010 were presented. Gerður Guðjónsdóttir, the Finance Manager for the City of Hafnarfjörður, went over and explained the individual items of the annual accounts.

      The Harbour Board approves the annual accounts for its part, subject to the adjustment of the item „Next year's amortisation of long-term debt“.

      The Harbour Board recommends to the Town Council that the annual accounts of the Port of Hafnarfjörður for the year 2010 be approved as is, following the adjustment of the item „Next year's amortisation of long-term debt“.

  • 0901114 – Oil loading jetty, enquiry

    A report from Strending ehf. on the increase in the price of the Oil Basin, as requested by the harbour board, was presented, along with cost estimates, including for the pollution prevention basin.

    The Harbour Board approves the construction of a pollution protection screen at the Oil Tank. The design of the screen shall take into account the possibility of further developing the Oil Tank at a later stage.;

  • 1008329 – Employment Agency, Task Force

    The E proposal of the Hafnarfjörður Employment Initiative Group was considered. At its meeting on 14 April 2011, the Hafnarfjörður Town Council referred the proposal to the Harbour Board for its opinion.

    The Harbour Board agrees that there is an opportunity in strengthening shipping services in Hafnarfjörður and is already working on such projects. The Harbour Board requests to cooperate with the City of Hafnarfjörður's employment initiative group on the project's continuation.;

  • 1011392 – Projects related to port activities.

    Review potential projects related to the port-based service activities.

    The Harbour Board has decided that work on the following harbour-related projects will be prioritised: * Ship services in Hafnarfjörður.* The strengthening of the Port of Hafnarfjörður as the main commercial port for foreign and domestic fishing vessels, including an assessment of the feasibility of constructing a new cold store in Hafnarfjörður.* Increasing the number of cruise ships visiting Hafnarfjörður and related tourism. Special working groups will be established for the above-mentioned projects.;

  • 1105015 – Seamen's Day 2011

    An overview of the upcoming Seafarers' Day, Sunday, 5th June 2011.

    The Harbour Board discussed the Seafarers' Day celebrations and the involvement of the Port of Hafnarfjörður in them.;
