• 0701391 – A school project, a collaborative project of the Municipality of Hfj., the Municipality of Kópavogur, the Municipality of Akureyri, the Equality Institute, the Ministry of Social Affairs and the City of Reykjavík.

  Draft cooperation agreement presented on the planning, implementation and financing of the project „Equality Education in Nurseries and Primary Schools“ for the period from 1 April 2008 to 1 June 2009.

  The Committee on Democracy and Equality approves the draft for its part.

  The Committee on Democracy and Equality requests information from Flensburg School on the status of the project, concerning both its operational and programme-making aspects, as well as the school's ideas for its future.

• 0802071 – Association of Icelandic Municipalities, Policy-making in Immigration Affairs

  A letter dated 5 February from the Association of Icelandic Municipalities regarding work on the formulation of immigration policy was presented, and the town council requests a review of the letter from the Democracy and Equality Committee.

  The representative for democracy and equality has been tasked with finalising the review.

  Drafts of an action plan on child protection have been re-submitted, but a review of the plan has been requested from the Committee on Democracy and Equality.
