  The Committee on Democracy and Equality requests information from the International House and the Flensburg School in Hafnarfjörður on the implementation of the new arrivals' radio programme last year and the project's current status.;

• 0809322 – Equality Officers of Departments

  The Democracy and Equality Officer reported on the work of the departmental equality officers and on a planned course by the Equality Authority, which will be held for the equality officers at the end of March.

  The Committee on Democracy and Equality agrees to pay the costs of the course.;

• 0710243 – Sports and youth activities for children of foreign origin, a study

  The Democracy and Equality Committee approved at its meeting in June last year. to entrust the working group on the affairs of immigrant children in Hafnarfjörður, which is active in the town, with the task of presenting an action plan for increasing the participation of children and adolescents of foreign origin in sports and leisure activities.

  The Committee on Democracy and Equality requests information on the status of the project from the action group.;

  A report on the dropout of girls from sports and leisure activities was presented. An action plan was put forward.

  The report and action plan were discussed. Committee members will familiarise themselves with the report's contents and review the action plan in more detail.;

• 0701391 – A school project, a collaborative project of the Municipality of Hfj., the Municipality of Kópavogur, the Municipality of Akureyri, the Equality Institute, the Ministry of Social Affairs and the City of Reykjavík.
