  A email was presented from the Headmaster of Flensburg School regarding an enquiry from the Democracy and Equality Committee of 11th March.

  The Committee on Democracy and Equality requests that representatives of the International House and Flensburg School attend a meeting of the committee regarding the project.;

• 0809322 – Equality Officers of Departments

  The Democratic and Equality Officer reported on a course for departmental equality officers, which was held on 30 March by the Equality Authority. The course reviewed equality legislation and discussed the integration of gender and equality perspectives.

• 0809308 – Equality initiative in sports and leisure activities

  A new report on the dropout rate of girls from sports and leisure activities, along with an action plan, was presented.

  The Democracy and Equality Committee welcomes the ITA's action plan and urges the relevant parties to work proactively to reduce the drop-out rate of teenage girls from sports and leisure activities.;

• 0902239 – European Week Against Racism

  The representative for democracy and equality gave an account of the planned launch event for the Cities Against Racism initiative on 27th April, which is being organised by the Islandpanorama organisation.

• World Walk for Peace

  A promotional leaflet was presented about a global walk for peace and a life without violence.

  The Committee on Democracy and Equality expresses its satisfaction with the project and encourages the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður to participate in it. The matter was referred to the Municipal Council for further action.;
