  1. General presentations

    • SB040377 – Minutes of the Planning and Building Officer

      The minutes of the planning and building officer's disposal meeting of 13.04.11 were presented. Item A was disposed of by the building officer in accordance with the Building Act No. 160/2010.

    • 1005159 – Planning and Building Department monthly report

      A summary from the Administration and Finance Department for January and February 2011 was presented.

      The Director of the Department presented a work document providing an overview of the Planning and Building Department.;

    • SN010005 – Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður

      Discussion on the planning of the area west of Straumsvík, which was deferred for 4 years in the 2005–2025 Master Plan for Hafnarfjörður. The deferral expires on 18.05.11. A response letter from the Planning Authority, dated 08.04.11, which states that the procedure according to Article 31 of the Planning Act no. 123/2010 does not apply, and therefore the postponement does not need to be advertised. Reference is made to Article 35 of the Planning Act.

      The Planning and Building Committee agrees to postpone the area's master plan for a further 4 years, in accordance with the authority in Article 33 of the Planning Act no. 123/2010, and refers the matter otherwise to the revision of the Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður, which the City Council of Hafnarfjörður approved on 30 June 2010, work on which was to commence. The Planning and Building Committee makes the following recommendation to the City Council: “The City Council of Hafnarfjörður approves a postponement of part of the Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður 2005–2025, the area west of Straumsvík, for a further 4 years in accordance with the authorisation in Article 33 of the Planning Act no. 123/2010.“;

    • SB050584 – Reykjanesbraut, detailed plan

      A proposal from Landmótun, on behalf of the Vegagerðin, was presented for a detailed plan for the dualling of the Reykjanesbraut between Kaldárselsvegur and Krýsuvíkurvegur. On the one hand, an amendment to the detailed plan for the northern section of the road, and on the other, a new detailed plan for the southern section.

    • 1003470 – Bus, driving within the city

      A report from the working group on intra-municipal driving was presented. The municipal council referred the report, among other things, to the Planning and Building Committee for its opinion.

      The Planning and Building Department agrees with the priorities set out in the report, particularly regarding the importance of the City of Hafnarfjörður developing a comprehensive transport strategy.

      The plan will emphasise providing a good service for children and young people attending school and leisure activities, while also using sustainable principles as a guide in its development.
      In this regard, it is clear that the BS bus route network needs to be reviewed.

    Sigurður Einarsson from Batteríið will attend the meeting and present the framework plan.

  • SB040347 – Environment Committee/Agenda 21

    The minutes of the Environment Committee/Local Agenda 21 meeting of 20 April 2011 were presented.

    The Planning and Building Committee endorses item 1 of the committee's minutes.;

  • 1104091 – AÍH, sports complex

    A report from the Hafnarfjörður Motor Sports Association, dated 2011, regarding facilities for driving practice.

    Postponed.;

  • 1008227 – Clean-up campaign of industrial areas at Hraun and Hellnahraun.

    The project's representative, Sigurður Steinar Jónsson of the Planning and Building Department, outlines the success achieved by the project and its potential future development.

    The Planning and Building Committee expresses its satisfaction with the progress of the clean-up initiative and considers it clear that it has had a considerable impact on the cleaning of plots in the town. In light of this, the Director of the Planning and Building Department is tasked with seeking continued cooperation with the parties involved in the project.;

  • 1008329 – Employment Agency, Task Force

    At the town council meeting on 14 April, it was agreed to refer proposal C2 from the task force on employment matters to the planning and building committee for consideration.

    The Planning and Building Council instructs the Department of Planning and Building to assess the proposal and provide an opinion on it.;

  • 1004051 – Master Plan of Grindavíkurbær 2010-2030

    A letter from Ingvar Þór Gunnlaugsson, Head of the Technical Department of Grindavíkurbær, dated 29.03.11, was presented, requesting the opinion of Hafnarfjarðarbær on the proposal for the Grindavík 2010–2030 Master Plan.

    The Planning and Building Council instructs the Planning and Building Department to prepare a draft report.;

  • 1104346 – 55 Hjallabraut, amendment to the local plan

    Hjalli is requesting to amend the detailed plan for the plot at 55 Hjallabraut.

    The Planning and Building Committee instructs the Planning and Building Department to discuss the proposal with the applicant.;
