    • SB040377 – Minutes of the Planning and Building Officer

      Minutes of the planning and building officer's disposal meetings of 05.10.11 and 12.10.11 were presented. Item A was disposed of by the building officer in accordance with the Building Act No. 160/2010.

    • 1105399 – Bjarkavellir 1a, 1b and 1c local plan amendment.

      A letter from Gudlaugur Adolfsson, on behalf of Valhúsar Student Flats Ltd., dated [19.05.11], is taken up for consideration again. 19.05.11, enquiring about a change of local plan from student accommodation to small, affordable flats for the general market. A planning drawing from the architectural practice Strandgötu 11, dated 3 October 2011, was presented.

      The Harbour and Construction Committee agrees to advertise a local planning amendment for Bjarkavellir 1, Hafnarfjörður, in accordance with the provisions of Article 43 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010.

    • 1108205 – Skógarás 2, two flats

      The Planning and Building Department presented its first proposal for a neighbourhood survey, which will, among other things, explore the views of residents in Ásland 3 regarding the increase in registered dwellings and other factors concerning the area's planning and development.

      The Planning and Building Council instructs the department to continue with the survey, in conjunction with the Information Officer and the Environment and Operations Department.

    • 1110157 – Kapelluhrauni storage area, road construction and fees

      Ástvaldur Óskarsson submits a question on behalf of Geymslusvæðisins ehf regarding who is to be responsible for roadworks and the construction of utility networks, and how the charging will be structured.

      The Shipping and Construction Committee refers the matter to the Department of Environment and Operations and the Council.

    • 1109387 – Norðurbakki 13, 15 and 17, detailed plan and outdoor area.

      A proposal by Sigurður Gíslason, architect, of Norðurbakki 15, for an amendment to the local plan and the arrangement of the outdoor area at the houses Norðurbakki 13, 15 and 17, was submitted.

      The Planning and Building Council instructs the Planning and Building Department to further develop the proposal so that access is restricted and there is some increase in parking spaces.

    • 1108348 – Planning and Building Committee - Terms of Reference

      New amendments to the terms of reference of the Planning and Building Committee were discussed, in light of changes in legislation and administrative changes in Hafnarfjörður.

      The Planning and Building Committee approves the terms of reference for its part and refers its processing to the Town Council.

    • 1110158 – Soil sample, location

      The future location of a soil tip in the land of Hafnarfjörður was discussed.

      The Planning and Building Council instructs the Planning and Building Department to examine possible locations for a new soil tip and to re-evaluate the existing agreement between Hafnarfjörður and Garðabær regarding the disposal of soil.

    • 1009262 – Krýsuvík application for a permit to drill boreholes

      HS-Orka, in a letter dated 10.10.11, applies for an extension of the works permit for boreholes in Krýsuvík. The Planning and Building Officer approved the works permit on 06/10/2010 following consideration by the Planning and Building Committee, subject to the following conditions: The Planning and Building Officer approves the application subject to the following conditions: The excavation will be removed at the expense of HS Orka. Drilling cuttings shall be collected in a collection/cutting container. HS Orka shall implement the necessary mitigation measures for noise and, furthermore, due to these impacts, consideration must be given to the choice of season when performance measurements are carried out, with regard to disturbance to outdoor recreational users and tourists. It must be ensured that any potential archaeological remains are not disturbed. Consider the lighting, as this area is used for stargazing.

      The Planning and Building Committee welcomes the application and instructs the Planning and Building Officer to finalise the extension of the planning permission.

    • 1109378 – Environmental Team, Terms of Reference

      Continue the discussion about the terms of reference and the tasks of the environmental team.

      The Planning and Building Committee agrees with the points raised in the letter of instructions, but also emphasises that the Environmental Team's projects should be subject to regular review. It is also desirable that the Environmental Team's minutes be laid before both the Committee and the Environment and Operations Committee.

    • 1108227 – Environmental issues, brainstorming session

      To continue the discussion on ideas that emerged from a brainstorming session regarding the projects of the Department of Environment and Operations, and which were presented at the last council meeting.

    • 0812022 – Southwest Lines, electricity transmission system

      A email from Thorarinn Bogason, Esq., on behalf of Landsnet, dated 11.10.11, was presented, in which he requests a meeting between representatives of Landsnet and the Planning and Building Committee of Hafnarfjörður.

      The Director is tasked with convening a joint meeting with SBH, the Town Council and the Environment and Operations Committee.
