The authorisation for remote meetings was renewed at the town council meeting on 19 August 2020.

1701175 – Selhraun South, amendment to the local plan
The application from Nordurhellu 13 for a change to the area's planning permission is submitted again. A report from the planning officer has been presented.
The Planning and Building Council instructs the Environment...and Planning Department to prepare a proposal for an amended master plan with the aim of changing the land use for the plots at Norðurhellu 13-15-17-19 and Suðurhellu 12-14 to a mixed-use commercial and residential development, and refers it to the Town Council for approval.

2008009 – Hvaleyri, Keilir Golf Club, amendment to the detailed plan
At the meeting of the Planning and Building Committee on 11 August, it was resolved to advertise a proposal for a change to the detailed plan for the Keilir Golf Club. The matter was referred to the Municipal Council for approval, which confirmed the Committee's decision. The consultation period has now closed. Comments were received.
The Planning and Building Committee approves the local plan amendment, citing the report from the Department of Environment and Planning. The matter is also referred to the Borough Council for ratification.

2007341 – Sléttuhlíð, outline plan amendment
The matter was considered at the meeting of the Planning and Building Committee on 22 September, and a report from the Department of Environment and Planning was requested. A report dated 1 October was presented.
According to a report from the Department of Environment and Planning, there are significant shortcomings in the drawings submitted for the summer house in Sléttuhlíð; it also states that it is unclear how the sewage arrangements for the area are being handled. The Planning and Building Committee instructs the Department of Environment and Planning to provide data on the status of approved building permits, as well as the condition of the sewerage/cesspits in Sléttuhlíð. The matter is deferred until the requested data is available.

2009429 – Skarðshlíð Phase 3, amendment to the detailed plan
On 16 September 2020, the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður applied for a change to the detailed plan for Skarðshlíðar 3rd Phase. The change concerns the removal of a right-of-way for power lines.
The Planning and Building Committee agrees to advertise the proposal for a revised local plan and refers it to the Borough Council for approval.

2009443 – 36 Suðurgata, detailed plan
The Planning and Building Officer's meeting refers the application of Kristinn Ragnarsson on behalf of the owners, dated. 15.9.2020 application by Kristinn Ragnarsson on behalf of the owners for a change to the detailed plan, to the Planning and Building Committee. The proposal for the change to the detailed plan provides for an increase in the number of flats, i.e. that on the ground floor it will be permitted to have approved
two flats, so that the number of flats on the site increases from two to three.The Planning and Building Committee agrees to advertise the proposal for a revised detailed plan for Suðurgata and refers it to the Town Council for approval. The proposal will also be subject to local consultation with neighbouring landowners.

At its meeting on 22 September 2020, the Planning and Building Committee instructed the Department of Environment and Planning to respond to the comments submitted by the Planning Authority on 27 August 2020. The planning officer's response, dated 2 October 2020, was presented.
The Planning and Building Committee concurs with the planning officer's response.

1809389 – Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður 2013-2025, revision
A planning statement was submitted for the review of the 2013-2025 master plan for Hafnarfjörður.
The Planning and Building Committee agrees that the planning statement be submitted for consultation and comment in accordance with the „4.3 COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS ON THE STATEMENT“ section. The Planning and Building Committee instructs the Department of Environment and Planning to commence preparations and a cost analysis for the production of a draft proposal for the general plan. Furthermore, the planning statement for the revision of the 2013-2025 general plan for Hafnarfjörður is referred to the Town Council.

1801074 – Smyrlahraun 41a
The Town Council agreed on 14 March 2020 that, instead of building a playground/nursery on the site, a residential unit for disabled people would be constructed, and referred the matter to the Department of Environment and Planning. The Family Council requested the plot for a residential centre on 14 September 2018.
The Planning and Building Committee instructs the planning officer to proceed with the matter.

2010043 – Plans for the protection of Urriðakotshraun in Garðabær
A letter from the Environment Agency, dated 29 September 2020, regarding plans to designate Urriðakotshraun as a protected area was presented.
The Planning and Building Committee concurs with the opinion of the Department of Environment and Planning.

1808180 – Fornubúðir 5, planning amendment
At the meeting of the Planning and Building Committee on 30 June 2020, a minor amendment to the existing detailed plan was approved, and it was agreed that the procedure would be in accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 43 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010. The matter was also referred to the town council for approval. An error in the wording has been discovered. The correct wording is as follows: „The plot is designated for businesses and institutions related to the harbour, fisheries, marine research and the safety of seafarers, as well as services for businesses and institutions in the area. In addition, more diverse land use is permitted, such as service and cultural activities.“
The Planning and Building Council confirms the proposed correction of wording.
