• 1107022 – Klukkuberg 26, building permit

  On 04.07.11, Magnús R Sigtryggson and Helena Gylfadóttir apply to install 3 windows in room 0001, permanent number 225-8739,landline number 121484 and convert it into a family room in accordance with the drawings by Eyjólfur Bragason dated 20.04.10. Neighbour's consent is attached.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application.

Part B: Organisational Matters

• Helgafell, viewpoint

  By letter received on 5 July 2011, Rúnar Pálsson requests assistance and permission to install a viewing disc on Helgafell.

  The Planning and Building Officer refers the matter to the Planning and Building Committee.

• 1107024 – Karmel Monastery, Old Road, eastern part of Monastery Wall

  Enquiry from Thor Gíslason, dated 1 July 2011, regarding assistance from the City of Hafnarfjörður with the cleaning of the eastern wall of Karmelklaustursins, which is a great eyesore.

  The Planning and Building Officer refers the matter to the Department of Environment and Operations for comment.

• 1107025 – Svöluás 46. Finishing at the data stage.

  Hanna Þóra Hauksdóttir has a query dated 4 July 2011 regarding the finish at the footpath above Svöluás 46.

  The Planning and Building Officer refers the matter to the Department of Environment and Operations for comment.

• 1107068 – Holtabyggð 1, vehicle storage, registration and use

  The car parks at Holtabyggð 1 are registered at construction stage 1, but they are fully completed and have been put into use. A certificate of occupancy is required, along with a final inspection certificate.

  The planning and building officer requires the building supervisor/owners to apply for an intermediate inspection within three weeks and then a final inspection in accordance with Article 36 of the Building Regulations Act no. 160/2010.

• 10071200 – Carmelite monastery, narrow road

  A letter dated 10 July 2011 from the Carmelite Monastery at 37 Ölduslóð has been received. It requests that the City of Hafnarfjörður widens the road in front of the chapel, as it is steep and narrow.

  The Planning and Building Officer refers the matter to the Department of Environment and Operations for comment.

• 1009180 – Kaplakriki, update on mhl.02-07

  On 16.09.2010, the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður applied for permission to alter the approved drawings, in accordance with drawings by Jón Ólafur Einarsson dated 03.08.2010. New drawings were received on 05.07.11. The fire service stamp is on the drawings.

  The Planning and Building Officer will postpone the matter until a corrected site plan and plot plan are submitted.

• 1107113 – Flatahraun 5a, query about a sign

  A red telephone box is requested to be installed at the entrance to Flatahraun 5a.

  Postponed.

• 1107002 – 23 Brekkugata, enquiry

  On 01.07.11, Sigrún Skúladóttir tabled an enquiry regarding the extension of the plot to the north, in accordance with the attached plan, for the relocation and reconstruction of a carport.

  The Planning and Building Officer denies the application as it stands. Please see the attached comment.

• 1107033 – Álfaskeið 127, building permit

  Sigursteinn Sævarsson and Lára Björk Sigurðardóttir apply on 04.07.11 to install a spiral staircase between 0201 and 0101, along with internal alterations, in accordance with drawings by Gunnhildur Gunnarsdóttir, dated.17.10.00 amended 17.04.11.

  The planning and building officer has deferred the matter as the submitted documents are insufficient. See attached comments.
