Part A of building permits

• 1107221 – Eskivellir 21, alteration

  ER hús ehf applies on 19.07.2011 for alterations to Eskivöllum 21, including changes to the balcony railings, floor heating is cancelled and the access to the plot is altered, in accordance with drawings by Sigurður Þorvarðarson dated 19.07.2011. New drawings were received on 04.08.2011.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application.

• 1108129 – Melabraut 17, Warehouse converted to industrial use

  On 11 August 2011, BYR hf applied to convert a warehouse into an industrial area, in accordance with drawings by Sigurður Þorvarðarson dated 2 August 2011.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application.

• 1108126 – 55 Hjallabraut, primary school, building permit

  Hjallastefnan is applying on 11 August 2011 for a permit to build a children's pavilion at Phase 1, in accordance with drawings by architect Kjartan Sigurðsson.

  The planning and building officer approves the building plans in accordance with Article 11 of the Building Regulations No. 160/2010. A building permit will be issued once the conditions of paragraphs 1–4 of Article 13 of the Building Regulations have been fulfilled. Revised documents are requested; please see the attached comments.

• 1108119 – Gjótuhraun 1, alterations, building permit

  On 11 August 2011, Brimmót ehf applied for a permit to install new entrance doors on the west gable of a commercial building, in accordance with drawings by architect Friðrik Friðriksson.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application.

  On 15 August 2011, Ómar Svavarsson applies for a change to Fjóluhlíð 17, in accordance with drawings by Sæmundur Eiríksson dated August 2011. See attached documents.

  Brammer Ltd is applying to erect signs on the plot and building, in accordance with the documents on file.

  On 05.08.2011, Dverghamrar ehf applied for a licence for a mezzanine in room 0104, in accordance with drawings by Jón Guðmundsson dated 22.07.2011. New images of drawing number 03 were received on 15.08.2011.

• 1108074 – Glitvangur 27, alteration to the garage

  On 10 August 2011, Gunnar Kristjánsson applied for a permit to convert the existing garage into a utility room, which is to be divided into a bedroom, a bathroom, a living room and a storage room. In accordance with drawings by Gústafs Ólafsson dated 14 July 2011.

  The Planning and Building Officer refers the matter to the Planning and Building Committee.

• 1012098 – Strandgata 55, enquiry

  On 09.12.10, Fjörukráin submitted an enquiry about building a turf house behind Fjörukráin, see attached sheet. A new proposal, together with documents and a letter to the planning committee, was received on 09.08.2011.

  The Planning and Building Officer refers the matter to the Planning and Building Committee.

• 1107223 – Vesturbraut 15, enquiry

  Edda Ársælsdóttir submits an enquiry on 19.07.11 regarding an extension, raise the roof and reduce the number of flats by one, in accordance with drawings by Erlend Hjálmarsson dated 23.06.11.$line$U A report from the House Preservation Committee was received on 10.08.2011.

  The Planning and Building Officer concur with the opinion of the State Buildings Preservation Committee and request amended documentation.

• 1012130 – The Icelandic Pigeon Fanciers' Association, area for use

  An email and a drawing dated 17 August 2011 have been received, in which Vilhelm Sigurjónsson, on behalf of the Pigeon Fanciers' Association of Iceland, requests permission to erect a dovecote on the previously allocated site by the Krýsuvíkurveg. The matter was previously on the agenda at the meeting on 10 August.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application for one year, provided that the cabins are no larger than 9 m², are positioned so as not to pose a danger, and that all maintenance is exemplary.

• 1108185 – Thrastará 29. Site works.

  The Planning and Building Officer requests clarification from the owner regarding building works on the plot at 29 Thrastaras.

• 1108067 – Vallarbarð 14, enquiry.

  Halldór Ingólfsson wishes to extend the entrance hall at the rear of the property at Vallarbarð 14 by approximately 9 sq. m., and to erect a fence along the path, in accordance with the attached documents dated 10 August 2011.

  The Planning and Building Officer permits a change to the local plan, which will be subject to local consultation.
