• 1208055 – Brekkuás 9-11, building stage and use.

  Flat in the building have been advertised for sale as complete, but neither a safety inspection nor a final inspection has been carried out.

  The planning and building officer requires the building supervisor to apply for a final inspection or a safety inspection within 4 weeks.

• 1208053 – Glitberg 3, Question

  Guðjón Þór Jónsson is submitting an enquiry regarding an extension to a house on previously approved plans.

  The Planning and Building Officer is negative towards the application, see attached comments.

• 1208019 – 15 Gardarvegur, extension of the car park

  Saevar Gudmundsson has submitted an enquiry regarding the expansion of the car park at 15 Gardarveg. A report from the Department of Environment and Operations is available.

  The Planning and Building Officer is favourable to the application, provided that the parking space is within the plot. To accommodate an additional parking space, an application for a plot extension must be submitted to the Town Council. The plot holder will bear all costs of the works and any adjustments to the town land.

• 1110138 – Dalshraun 11, enquiry regarding parking spaces.

  The residents' association of Dalshrauni 11 submits an enquiry on 12 October 2011 to increase the number of parking spaces. The development is entirely on municipal land. It involves creating parking spaces on the grassy islands and reducing the entrance to the car park from Stakkahrauni. The owners of the house are demanding that the property boundary be moved over to the future new car park, as the residents' association intends to finance the entire project. See attached documents. On 13 June 2012, the Planning and Building Officer requested a report from the Department of Environment and Operations, which gave a positive opinion on the changes on 20 June 2012.

  The Planning and Building Officer is favourable to the application, provided that the parking space is within the plot. To accommodate an additional parking space, an application for a plot extension must be submitted to the Town Council. The plot holder will bear all costs of the works and any adjustments to the town land.

• 1107068 – Holtabyggð 1, vehicle storage, registration and use

  The car parks at Holtabyggð 1 are registered at construction stage 1, but they are fully completed and have been put into use. A certificate of occupancy is required, along with a final inspection. On 06.07.11, the planning and building officer required the building supervisor/owners to apply for a certificate of habitability within three weeks and then for a final certificate in accordance with Article 36 of the Building Regulations Act no. 160/2010. The Planning and Building Officer reiterated his request. If this was not addressed within four weeks, the Planning and Building Officer would invoke the provisions of the Building Regulations Act no. 160/2010 to compel remedial action. Hilmar Árnason requested an extension until 1 June 2012, but nothing has happened on the matter.

  The Planning and Building Officer will impose daily penalties on the owner in accordance with section 56 of the Buildings Act No. 160/2010 if the request is not complied with within four weeks.

• 1208050 – Skógarás 1, building permit

  Architect Sigrún Óla is applying for planning permission on behalf of the plot holder for Skógarási 1, in accordance with the attached drawings dated 26.7.2012.

  The Planning and Building Officer has deferred the matter as the submitted documents are insufficient. Please see the attached comments.
