Part A of building permits

• 1112028 – HFJ Rescue Squad. Sign placement 2011

  The Hafnarfjörður Rescue Squad is applying to put up 13 signs around the town to advertise its annual Christmas tree and firework sale.

  Permission is granted for the installation of these signs on the condition that they are securely fixed against wind and weather. The City of Hafnarfjörður accepts no liability for any damage that may result from them. Likewise, a consultation shall be sought with the Road Administration regarding signs in areas under their management. All signs must be taken down by 8 January 2013.

• 1212095 – Hraunavíkurvegur, sign

  Helga Stefánsdóttir, on behalf of the Environment and Design Department, requests in an email dated 10 December 2012 that cycle and walking route signs be installed at Hraunavíkurveg, in accordance with the attached documents.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application, as it is in accordance with the current signage regulations.

• 1212038 – Gjáhella 4th amendment to previously approved drawings

  On 04.12.12, Héðinn hf, Vélsmiðja applies for a licence to amend previously approved drawings, in accordance with the drawings dated 10.10.2007.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with the Act on Buildings No. 160/2010.

• 1210291 – Eyrartröð 3, alteration

  Heiðarverk ehf applies on 11.10.12 to alter the internal layout.The number of rooms has been reduced in accordance with drawings by Guðni Pálsson dated 10.06.06, amended 10.10.12. New drawings were received on 31.10.12 and 07.12.12.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with the Act on Buildings No. 160/2010.

Part B: Organisational Matters

• 1203138 – Eskivellir 13, site maintenance

  Hazard from the fence and poor maintenance at Eskivelli 13. See photographs of the site. The matter was addressed, but it has since reverted to the same state.

  The planning and building officer shall require the landowner to take adequate measures to respond to the request.

• 1104141 – Kaplahraun 2-4. Site tidiness.

  It has been discovered that the car park has not been finished properly, as there are no drains on the site and all water runs onto the street.

  The planning and building officer shall require the plot holder to take adequate measures to ensure that surface water from their plot does not cause damage or inconvenience to an adjacent plot or the pavement, in accordance with section 66 of the Building Regulations.

• 1212108 – Vesturgata 4 site management

  Complaints have been received about poor behaviour on the restaurant's premises.

  The planning and building officer requires the owner to improve the upkeep of the plot and remove the rubbish from it.

• 1212111 – Brekkuás 21, enquiry to the planning and building officer

  Architect Hildur Bjarnadóttir asks if it is possible to build a semi-detached house on the plot, instead of a detached house.

  The planning and building officer is negative towards the application. The subdivision of properties in the neighbourhood has not been permitted.

• 1212073 – Kaplahraun 2-4 alteration to building permit

  On 07.12.12, Hýmir ehf applies to alter the internal layout, modify windows and erect a fence on the plot boundary, in accordance with drawings by Sigurður Hafsteinsson dated 06.12.12.

  The Planning and Building Officer has deferred the matter as the submitted documents are insufficient. Please see the attached comments.
