0902116 – Grænakinn 4, enquiry
Stefán Ómar Jakobsson, on 10 February, submits an enquiry regarding the construction of a conservatory to a detached house in accordance with the attached drawings by Halldór Hannesson, dated. 09.02.09. The matter was discussed at the processing meeting of the Planning and Building Officer on 17.02.2008, which referred it to the Planning and Building Committee.
The Planning and Building Committee postpones the matter.;

0902012 – Hringbraut 30, alteration, enquiry.
On 03.02.2009, Jón M. Halldórsson submitted an application to demolish a garage on the plot and build another in its place, which will include a utility room, a guest toilet and a new entrance hall for the house, in accordance with the drawings. See also the accompanying information on the drawing. A shadow projection from KJhönnun, as requested at the last meeting, has been submitted.
The Planning and Building Committee directs the questioner to explore ways to lower the proposed extension.;

0805284 – Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður, changed land use east of Skútahraun
The director's proposal to change the land use from an industrial area to a business area for the area bounded by Hólshraun to the north, the right-of-way for the proposed Álftanesvegur, and the municipal boundary with Garðabær to the east, was reconsidered. Stapahrauni to the south and houses east of Bæjarhraun to the west. The change would allow for staff accommodation and guesthouses on the site, subject to the relevant conditions, and would also improve its environment compared to the current situation. Previously submitted, a summary by the Department of Planning and Building on the environmental impact of businesses in the area, dated 30.03.2008.
The Planning and Building Council instructs the planning- and Building Department to take the matter forward and then seek the opinion of the Health Surveillance Authority for the Hafnarfjörður and Kópavogur area and the Planning Authority on whether the activity in the area is consistent with the definition of an industrial estate in the Planning Regulations.;

0811107 – Flyscheið 4, change to the detailed plan
Bjarni Sigurðsson and Darri Guðmundsson are applying for permission to build a stable, in accordance with the drawings by Ómar Pétursson, BFÍ. The building extends 1m beyond the building line. A detailed planning drawing, dated 08.01.2009, was received on 13.01.2009. The Planning and Building Committee requested an explanation from the applicant regarding the need for the house's extension. A letter from Bjarni Sigurðsson, dated 10.02.2009, was submitted.
The Planning and Building Committee postpones the matter.;

0702005 – Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður, power lines and substations.
A proposal for an amendment to the 2005–2025 Master Plan for Hafnarfjörður, concerning the electricity transmission system in the hinterland of Hafnarfjörður, was discussed. A proposal from the engineering firm Efla for an assessment description for an environmental report, undated, was presented. Ólafur Árnason and Jón Bergmundsson attended the meeting and gave a presentation.
The proposal was presented. The Planning and Building Committee thanks the presenter for the presentation.;

0901098 – Sörli, delimitation of the association's area adjacent to residential housing
A letter from Björn Bjarnason and Vök Jónsdóttir on behalf of the riding club Sörli, dated 05.01.2009, was presented, requesting that a detailed plan be drawn up for the Hlíðarþúfur area.
Submitted for consideration by the Planning and Building Department with regard to the forthcoming framework plan for Ásland.;

A proposal from the Planning and Building Department for a detailed plan for the area at Ljósatröð, dated 15.01.2009, was presented. The area is within the detailed plan for Hörðuvelli – Reykdalsreit, but this part of it was deferred. Matter from the previous meeting.
The Planning and Building Committee postpones the matter.;

0809375 – Ásvellir, Haukasvæði, amendment to the local plan.
Proposal by landscape architect Pétur Jónsson, dated 15.02.2009, for an amendment to the detailed plan for the Haukar sports area at Ásvellir, together with an explanatory drawing.
The Planning and Building Committee requests clearer information regarding the local planning application. The discharge of traffic from the petrol station onto Ásbraut is not approved.;

0902175 – Hafnarfjörður Cemeteries, amendment to the detailed plan
On 13 February 2009, the Board of Hafnarfjörður Cemetery applied for a change to the detailed plan to be processed as a minor amendment, in accordance with the submitted drawing by Landslags ehf dated 11 February 2009. The change consists of using the original access area and car park from Kaldárselsvegur as a burial area. The application was discussed at the processing meeting of the Planning and Building Officer on 17 February 2008, who referred it to the Planning and Building Committee.
The Planning and Building Committee agrees to submit the proposal for publication in accordance with the first paragraph of Article 26 of the Planning and Building Act No. 73/1997, and makes the following recommendation to the Town Council: “The Hafnarfjörður Town Council approves that an amendment to the detailed plan for the Hafnarfjörður Cemetery dated 11.02.2009 be advertised in accordance with Article 26(1) of the Planning and Building Act No. 73/1997.“;

0809094 – Sléttuhlíð C-O (123147), building permit
The ruling of the Planning and Building Appeals Board dated 21.01.2009 was reconsidered. The Planning and Building Committee instructed the Planning and Building Department to review the matter between meetings. A report from the Planning and Building Department, dated 23 February 2009, was presented.
The Planning and Building Council instructs the Department of Planning and Building to prepare a proposal for an amendment to the 2005–2025 Master Plan for Hafnarfjörður, in accordance with the department's review with the necessary amendments.;

0710023 – Krýsuvíkurvegur, new junction
A proposal from Mannvit ehf for the location of temporary junctions at Krýsuvíkurveg was presented. The Transport Preparedness Group approves Proposal 4 and emphasises that a dedicated left-turn lane be included at the T-junction on the connecting road between Hellnahraun II and III. UHU recommends that SBH approve the proposal.
The Planning and Construction Committee endorses the proposal of the preparatory group on transport matters.;

0801107 – Reykjavíkurvegur 54, footpath
Consideration of the Planning and Building Committee's resolution regarding the minutes of the Transport Working Group, no. 49: The Planning and Building Committee resolves to recommend to the Executive Board that a pedestrian route opposite Reykjavikurveg 54 be marked. The Traffic Preparation Group recommends to the Planning and Building Committee that a pedestrian crossing light be installed immediately.
The Planning and Building Committee endorses the proposal from the transport working group that a pedestrian crossing be installed immediately.;

0812097 – Stekkjarhvammur, footpath
In an email dated 08.12.2008, Jónína Einarsdóttir of Stekkjarhvamm 24 objects to cars being parked on the footpath at Stekkjarhvamm 22–36. The Planning and Building Committee referred the matter to the SBH traffic working group on 16 December. UHU points out that the path in question is within the grounds of these houses, and residents are therefore permitted to put up signs to remind people of the purpose of this cul-de-sac. UHU refers the matter to SBH.

0902131 – Ásland 3, pedestrian link connections
A submission from residents of Ásland 3 has been received, requesting that the walking routes to and from the neighbourhood be improved, including extending the footpath down to Kaldárselsvegur and installing a pedestrian crossing over the road to the footpath that leads through the Hlíðar. UHU proposes to SBH that the trail connections to Ásland 3 be considered as a whole. A letter from Lúther Sigursson, dated 08.01.2007, regarding the footpath above Skógarás was presented.

0701032 – Álfholt 6-26, car park
The planning department's proposal for a change to the detailed plan for the south-west of Hvaleyrarholt, dated 17.03.2008, regarding the car park at Álfholt, was reconsidered. Comments from the public consultation meeting on 16.05.2009 were reviewed. A proposal from the Planning and Building Department for an amendment to the area's detailed plan was presented.
The Planning and Building Committee agrees to instruct the Planning and Building Department to examine the special designation of the car parks at Álfholt.;

The Planning and Building Committee makes the following recommendation to the town council: The town council agrees to authorise the South-West Thermal Power Station, HS Orka, to prepare a notification to the Planning Authority regarding an inquiry on the assessment requirement for exploratory drilling at Hveradali in Krýsuvík, in cooperation with the working group on exploratory drilling in Krýsuvík and the Planning and Building Council. This resolution applies solely to exploratory drilling in accordance with option 2 and gives no further assurances regarding the matter's progression. When the investigation is complete and its results are available, the town council will take a further position on the matter.;

Lögð fram til umsagnardrög að endurskoðaðri skólastefnu fræðslusviðs. Umsagnarfrestur er til 12.03.2009.%0DSkólastefna Hafnarfjarðar hefur verið í endurskoðun allt árið 2008 í samræmi við verk- og tímaáætlun sem samþykkt var í fræðsluráði Hafnarfjarðar í byrjun þess árs. Vinnuhópur fræðsluráðs hefur stýrt endurskoðunarvinnunni í samráði við starfsfólk á Skólaskrifstofu. Vinnan hófst með upplýsingaöflun frá hagsmunaðilum vorið 2008 og lauk með samráðsfundum með fulltrúum þeirra í byrjun sumars.
