A ruling of the Planning and Building Appeals Board was presented.

1003192 – Thruðvangur 8, change to the local plan.
Ivar J Arndal is applying to amend the detailed plan for the plot, in accordance with the drawing dated 11.03.2010. The application is a follow-up to a matter considered at meeting 246.
The Planning and Building Committee refers the matter to local consultation in accordance with the second paragraph of Article 26 of the Planning and Building Act No. 73/1997, as amended.;

1001136 – 78 Reykjavíkurvegur, change to the detailed plan
On 13 January 2010, Actavis Hf applied for permission to amend the zoning plan for the plot at Reykjavikurvegur 76-80 in accordance with the attached planning proposal by Úti og Inni sf, drawing no. 001, dated 12 January 2010. The application was advertised on 20 January 2010 and the consultation period closed on 12 March 2010. No comments were received.
The Planning and Building Council approves the detailed plan and that the matter be concluded in accordance with Article 26 of the Planning and Building Act No. 73/1997.;

0807220 – Suðurgata - Hamarsbraut, detailed plan
To reconsider the proposal from the Planning and Building Department dated 18.09.2009 for a detailed plan for an area bounded by cliffs north of the houses north of Hellubraut/Hamarbraut, Suðurgata, Mýrarhlið and Strandgata. Previously submitted: the 2009 archaeological survey of the area by the Hafnarfjörður Folk Museum and the report of the Buildings Preservation Board regarding Hellubraut 7, dated 05.05.2009. Previously submitted were the minutes and responses to comments from the preliminary presentation meeting of 25 May 2009. Previously submitted were the minutes of the Planning and Building Department regarding area conservation. A new report and plan dated 30 September were previously submitted. Previously submitted documents dated 10 January 2009 and from the Planning and Building Department dated 8 October 2009. The Director previously reported on discussions with the owner of Hellubraut 9 regarding the property boundaries. The Director has reported on discussions with the plot holder of Hellubraut 5, who is also the owner of Hellubraut 7, regarding the plot boundaries. A revised plan has been submitted concerning the plot boundaries at Hellubraut.

10023512 – Strandgata 19, enquiry
On 26/02/10, Skák ehf submitted a new enquiry regarding the extension of a rear annex, in accordance with drawings by Kári Eiríksson dated 25/02/2010. The application was considered at the processing meeting of the Planning and Building Officer on 03.03.2010, who referred it to the Planning and Building Committee.
The Planning and Building Committee takes a positive view of the enquiry and refers to the authority in 1. subsection 23 of the Planning and Building Act, which permits a landowner or developer to submit a proposal to the local council for a local plan or an amendment to a local plan at their own expense.
Jón Páll Hallgrímsson, a representative for the VG party, draws attention to the need to consider the area as a whole, i.e. the one bounded by Linnetstíg, Austurgata, Gunnarssund and Strandgata, with regard to its use and natural features.Other councillors concur with the motion, and it is noted that this discussion has already taken place within the planning and building department.

0907153 – Hverfisgata-Mjósund-Austurgata-Gunnarssund zoning plan
The draft local plan for a site bounded by Mjósund, Austurgata, Gunnarssund and the rear boundaries of the properties at 31-49 Hverfisgata is reconsidered. The Planning and Building Department outlines a review of access to the lighthouse behind the plot at Hverfisgata 41.

0703276 – 25 Austurgata, building permit
A letter from Kári Eiríksson of Gunnarssund 5, dated 08.03.2010, was presented, in which he requests that the building permit for the alteration to the house at Austurgata 25 be annulled due to procedural defects. The matter was discussed at the planning and building officer's meeting on 10 March 2010, which referred it to the Planning and Building Committee.

0911223 – Hvammar, revised development plan
The Planning and Building Department's new draft for a revised local plan for Hvammar is being considered. No development has taken place in accordance with the current local plan, in force since 1976 with amendments in 1979, and that plan must also be revoked.
The Planning and Building Committee agrees to hold a pre-application briefing on the draft local plan for Hvammar.;
0702005 – Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður, power lines and substations.
A proposal from the Planning and Building Department for an amendment to the 2005 Master Plan for Hafnarfjörður is reconsidered. – 2025 with regard to the electricity transmission system, in order to align with Landsnet's plans for strengthening the electricity transmission system in Southwest Iceland and the agreement between Hafnarfjörður and Landsnet on the matter, which was approved by the town council on 11 November 2008. The changes concern power lines and underground cables from Geitháls and Sandskeiði to the existing and planned substations in Hafnarfjörður and from there onwards to the aluminium smelter in Straumsvík and to the South-West (Suðurnesir). The town council approved the proposal for publication, together with the engineering firm Efla, dated. 18.10.2009. A preliminary information meeting was held on 07.09.2009. Previously submitted were the opinion of the Planning Authority on the preliminary assessment report dated 17.09.2009 and the final assessment report by Efla and Landsnet dated 10.08.2009. The letter from the Planning Authority dated 18.11.2009 regarding the proposal's notification was reconsidered, and the Planning and Building Council instructed the Planning and Building Department to respond to the comments raised therein. Previously submitted were the opinions of the National Monuments Authority and the Public Health Authority for the Hafnarfjörður and Kópavogur area, along with a revised plan drawing dated 01.02.2010 and a revised environmental report dated 16 October 2009. Submitted were the comments of the Environmental Agency dated 03.03.2010, the comments of the Executive Board of the Capital Region's Water Protection Areas dated 26.02.2010, and the comments of the board members of Hraunavinir dated 28.02.2010.

Stefán Veturliðason of VSB Engineering sends an email dated 05.03.2010 on behalf of Glacier World Ltd., regarding a water pipeline from Kaldárbotnar to Suðurhöfn for a planned bottling plant there. The matter was discussed at the planning and building officer's meeting on 10 March 2010, which referred it to the planning and building committee.
