1003381 – Gjótuhraun 1, amendment to building permit
On 22.03.10, Brimrót submitted amendments to the building permit, in accordance with drawings by Friðrik Friðriksson dated 04.03.10. The matter was considered at the planning and building officer's disposal meeting on 24.03.2010, which referred it to the planning and building committee. Previously submitted was a letter from Stefán Hjaltason on behalf of Brimrót, dated. 25.03.2010, together with the Supervision and Communication Report of the Health Surveillance Authority for the Hafnarfjörður and Kópavogur areas, dated 19.02.2010. On 30.03.2010, the Planning and Building Committee requested further information from the Health Authority as to whether and how potential odour pollution from the company could be prevented. A more detailed report from the Health Surveillance Authority for the Hafnarfjörður and Kópavogur areas, dated 6 April 2010, was presented.
The Planning and Building Committee is positive about the changes to the building permit, as the Environmental Health Authority for the Hafnarfjörður and Kópavogur area has determined that the operation will cause only minor pollution, it therefore falls under the definition of an industrial estate in the Planning Regulations. The Planning and Building Committee refers the matter to the Planning and Building Officer for final disposal and instructs him to set out further provisions for its implementation in cooperation with the Health Authority for the Hafnarfjörður and Kópavogur area.;

0903141 – Jófríðarstaðir, detailed plan for the Catholic Church and Búmenn
The proposal by Búmenn, on their own behalf and on behalf of the Catholic Church, for a detailed plan for service flats, etc., at Staðarhvamm, was reconsidered, based on drawings and models by architect Guðrún Jónsdóttir. Information on the utilisation ratio and planning from 1979 was presented.
The Planning and Building Committee rejects the proposal as it stands, as investigations into the soil are lacking and any potential development on the site must be adapted to the archaeological remains. The Planning and Building Council instructs the Planning and Building Department to discuss the matter with the parties concerned regarding its next steps.
<SPAN style=“FONT-FAMILY: “ Representatives of the Independence Party and the Left-Green Party, Rósa Guðbjartsdóttir and Jón Páll Hallgrímsson, agree with the majority's opinion in the matter and further believe that there are no grounds for planning a number of residential plots in established areas of the municipality at present, when it is clear that there is a significant oversupply of housing in the town. It is pointed out that hundreds of flats and plots in other parts of the town are standing empty and unsold.
Representatives of the Social Democratic Party point out that the planning and building act allows a plot holder to submit a proposal for a detailed plan at their own expense, but in this case, it was a proposal for serviced flats with facilities for a wide range of activities.
