• 0906171 – Reykjanesbraut, increase in speed limits

  The submission from the Transport Association, dated 18 June 2009, regarding the proposal to increase the speed limit on the Reykjanesbraut from 90 km/h to 100 km/h, is presented.

• 0906066 – Throsturás, traffic safety

  Taken up again. The speed measurement of 13th August was presented. The maximum speed recorded uphill was 62 km/h with an average speed of 33.3 km/h, and the maximum speed recorded downhill was 57 km/h with an average speed of 30.5 km/h. Thrastaráð is a 30 km road.

  Submitted. UHU has tasked the Executive with reviewing the matter.;

  Email from Arnar Ragnarsson dated 25 August 2009 regarding traffic safety at Hvannavellir was presented.

• 0902132 – Arnarhraun, Álfaskeið, road safety

  An email from Halldór Karlsson dated 16 June 2009 regarding the pedestrian routes at the junction was presented.

  UHU refers the matter to the work currently underway regarding the Miðbær-Hraun detailed plan.;

• 0907148 – Hellisgata 22, side exit onto Garðavegur

  Lögð fram athugasemd frá íbúum við Garðaveg varðandi leyfi fyrir hliði frá Hellisgötu 22 út á bílastæði við Garðaveg, dags. 27.07.2009. Erindið var til umfjöllunar á afgreiðslufundi skipulags- og byggingarfulltrúa 29.07.2009, sem vísaði því til skipulags- og byggingarráðs. Lagðir fram minnispunktar sviðsstjóra/skipulags- og byggingarfulltrúa dags. 06.08.2009. Þar sem athugasemd sneri að embættisfærslu skipulags- og byggingarfulltrúa, vék hann af fundi við afgreiðslu þess.%0DErindinu var vísað til nefndarinnar frá Skipulags- og byggingarráði á fundi 231. varðandi bílastæðamálun og umferðaröryggi.%0DBjarki Jóhannesson vék af fundi undir þessum lið.

• 09102433 – Fjóluás - speed bump

  An email from Jónína Loftsdóttir, dated 18 June 2009, regarding a request for a speed bump was presented.

  The zoning plan for Ásland 3 provides for a barrier to be erected between Fjóluás 28-30.;

• 09102435 – Skógarás - traffic safety

  A letter from Friðbjörn Oddsson, dated 29 June 2009, regarding a request for a speed hump on Skógarás at the temporary connection, was presented.

  UHU refers the matter to the department for further consideration.;

• 09102436 – Flower Fields - speed bump

  An email from Gardar Magnusson, dated 27th July, was presented regarding a request for a speed bump in Blómvöllum between houses 25-27.

  UHU suggests that the speed of traffic should be measured at this location.;

• 09102437 – Reykjanesbraut traffic safety

  An email from Jón G. Lárusson, dated 9 July 2009, was presented regarding an accident that occurred on the Reykjanesbraut last July.

  At this location, the design of the Reykjanes Highway is focused on lowering the road and adapting the crash barriers accordingly. The design will aim to make access to the highway more difficult. Alongside the lowering of the road, an elevated pedestrian walkway will be constructed opposite Álftaás.;

• 09102442 – Brekkuás - traffic safety

  An email from Helga V. Gunnarsdottir, dated 21 August 2009, regarding speeding in Brekkuas was presented.

  The zoning plan for Ásland 3 provides for a barrier to be erected between Brekkuás 10-12 and number 4.;

• 09102443 – Reykjavíkurvegur - road safety

  A letter from Guðrún B Bjarnadóttir, dated 21 August, was presented regarding a request for a footbridge to be built under Reykjavíkurveg.

  The Reykjavikurvegur is being redesigned, and the proposals include a segregated pedestrian route at this location.;

• 09102444 – Thrastarlás - traffic safety

  A submission from Gretar M. Thórvaldsson, dated 25 August 2009, regarding a request for a pedestrian crossing opposite Svöluás, was presented.

• 09102447 – Hverfisgata - traffic safety

  A submission from Hermann F. Valgarðsson, dated 15 September 2009, regarding speeding at the top of Hverfisgata was presented.

  UHU takes a negative view of the message.;

• 09102445 – Strandgata by Dröfn - road safety

  To consider the location of a pedestrian crossing over Strandgata at Dröfn.

  The Drafnar site is being reviewed, and UHU refers the matter to that work.;

• 0905174 – Hlíðarás - traffic safety

  A question was submitted by Hörður Halldórsson on 19 May 2009 regarding speed bumps in Hlíðarás.

  The zoning plan for Ásland 3 provides for a barrier at Hlíðarás 43 and 21.;

• 09102446 – Hvaleyrarbraut - traffic safety

  A letter from Björn Sveinsson, dated 11 September 2009, regarding a request for a speed hump on Hvaleyrarbraut and the surfacing at Skipalón, was presented.

  UHU suggests that the speed of traffic should be measured at this location.;
