  1. General presentations

    • 11032694 – Churchyards, traffic safety

      A letter from Ragna H. Sævarsdóttir, dated 25 March 2011, regarding speeding on Kirkjuvöllum was presented.

      The barrier will be renewed now at the start of summer, but there are no plans to proceed with further signage in the area at this stage.  UHU instructs the Department of Operations to speak with Strætó regarding a report of speeding in the street. UHU proposes that traffic speeds be measured after the barrier has been renewed.;

    • 11032777 – Throsturás, obstacle

      Email from Sigurður B. Guðmundsson, dated 3 March 2011, regarding the speed hump in Þrastarsás was presented.

      UHU emphasises that the safety of young children on their way to school is guaranteed, and therefore there is no reason for any changes.;

    • 10103545 – Laufvangur 1-9, car park

      A request has been submitted from residents of Laufvang 1-9, asking for measures to be taken to prevent parking in the driveway.

      UHU refers the matter to the ongoing work on the review of the North Town detailed plan.;

    • 1104087 – Bus company, request for the installation of a new bus stop

      The proposal from Strætó bs dated 7 April 2011 regarding a request for a new bus stop at Ásvallalaug was presented. The proposal was referred to the committee at the Executive Board meeting on 27 April.

      UHU terminates the journey as the next stop is nearby.;

    • 11023026 – 45 Reykjavíkurvegur, alteration

      A proposal for a new access to Reykjavikurvegur 45 was presented.

      UHU welcomes the proposal and points out that it requires an amendment to the local plan.;

    • 1105318 – Reykjanesbraut, realignment at Straumsvík

      To discuss the Road Administration's proposal to cancel the grade-separated junction of the Reykjanesbraut and the proposed connecting road to Hellnahraun and Kapelluhraun at the eastern end of the aluminium smelter, as defined in the 2005–2025 Master Plan for Hafnarfjörður.

      UHU considers that this junction is necessary for access to industrial areas for heavy goods vehicles and other vehicles.;

    • 1105320 – Ásvellir, access to the Haukahús.

      The safety of pedestrians at the Haukar sports complex was discussed.

      The matter was referred to the Planning and Building Committee.;
