    • 1101322 – Flensburg School's Sports Performance Department, presentation

      Diana Gudjonsdottir attended the meeting and presented the Flensborg School's sports performance department.

    • 1101308 – Sports facility operational change

      The Sports Officer presented forthcoming changes to the operation of sports facilities in accordance with the 2011 financial budget.

    • 1101323 – Young people out of school - research findings

      Presented for information: the 2009 study 'Young People Outside School' – the social situation of 16-20 year-olds in Iceland who are not in further education.

    • 1101273 – Equality House, request for facilities for a swimming course

      A request has been received from the Equality House, dated 20th January, requesting facilities for a swimming course.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee is unable to grant the request due to changes in the operation of the Swimming Pool.

    • 1101321 – Reykjavík Boys' Choir, lecture

      A letter from the Reykjavík Boys' Choir dated 17th January regarding subsidies was presented for information.

    • Attendance figures for sports halls 2010

      A summary of sports centre attendance figures for 2010 was presented.

    • 1101329 – Sportsman's Fund, allocation

      A proposal for the allocation of grants from the ÍBH Excellence Fund to its member clubs has been presented. The ceremony will take place on 27 January at Álfafell, the sports hall on Strandgata.

    • 10021128 – Youth centres, events - Hafnarfjörður Singing Competition 2011

      The Operations Manager for Youth and Leisure Affairs spoke about the Hafnarfjörður singing competition, which was held on 21st January in the Bæjarbíó. Adda Guðrún Gylfadóttir from the Hrauni Community Centre, Víðistaðaskóli, took first place. Eydís Sara Ágústdóttir from Setrinu Setbergsskóla came in 2nd place, and Erla Mist Magnúsdóttir from Öldunni Öldutúnsskóli in 3rd place. The top two will then go on to take part in the national competition, which will be held on 6th March.

    • 10021118 – The Lifelong Leap 2011, an educational and motivational project by the IOC

      The programme for the Lífshlaupið educational and motivational project, organised by the Icelandic Sports Federation, was presented for information.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee encourages workplaces, schools and businesses in Hafnarfjörður to take part in the project.
