  1. General presentations

    • 1109130 – Sports activities, autumn start

      A sports representative reported on the start of the autumn sports season in Hafnarfjörður.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee instructs ÍBH to conduct a survey among its member clubs regarding training fees for 16-year-olds and younger, with regard to the average increase between years.

    • Sports facilities, maintenance issues

      The Sports Officer went over the main points regarding the maintenance of sports facilities in the City of Hafnarfjörður.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee emphasises the importance of maintaining the town's older sports facilities in a proper manner.

    • Swimming pools, tariff issues

      An overview of the fee structures for swimming pools in the capital region was presented.

    • Autumn meeting of the Ministry of Education and Culture and FÍÆT

      The agenda for the autumn meeting of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Sports, Youth and Leisure Affairs Representative, to be held on 22 September, was presented.

    • 1004558 – 17th June celebrations 2011

      A review of the 2011 17th of June celebrations, which went off reasonably well.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee expresses its satisfaction with how it turned out.

    • 1109139 – Leisure centres, opening of youth clubs

      The youth clubs officially opened on Friday, 9th September. There was a good turnout at all venues and the atmosphere was great. Grilled sausages were served, after which everyone eagerly made use of the facilities and surroundings the clubs have to offer.

    • 1109024 – Leisure Centres, Project Manager Applications

      The Head of Youth and Leisure Services reported on the application process for the position of Project Manager for the Leisure Centres. The application process is being finalised.

      The matter will be discussed in more detail at the next meeting.

    • 0702036 – Kaplakrika Sports Hall, construction works

      The minutes of the Kaplakriki Building Committee meeting of 9 September were presented for information. A report on the status of the athletics hall project was also presented.
