  1. General presentations

    • 1011080 – Hafnarfjörður Sports Festival 2011, information

      The Sports Representative went over notes regarding the practical arrangements for the sports festival.

    • 1110326 – Parents' Council of Hafnarfjörður, observer on the Family Council

      The matter was referred from the Family Council to the Sports and Leisure Committee.

      At present, the Sports and Leisure Committee cannot grant the request of the Parents' Council of Hafnarfjörður to have an observer on the committee. The activities that take place in leisure centres and youth clubs are not legally mandated, unlike the operations of primary schools, and therefore cannot be equated.$line$ Sports- and Leisure Committee also emphasises the importance of good cooperation with the Parents' Council and proposes that a representative from the council be invited to the committee's meetings as required when matters concerning leisure centres and youth clubs are specifically under discussion. $line$

    • 0911127 – Subsidies for sports and leisure - overview

      Daniel Pétursson, Project Manager of the Sports Department, attended the meeting and went over a summary of the subsidies for sports and leisure activities for the autumn term of 2011.

    • 0812046 – ÍBH, Hafnarfjörður Municipality, Alcan, allocation pursuant to the agreement

      Drafts of the grant allocations to the sports clubs, in accordance with the relevant agreement for the sports activities of 16-year-olds and younger, taking into account the educational aspect of coaches and the development of the clubs' curricula, were presented for information. The total amount is kr. 6,000,000. The grants will be presented at the Sports Festival on 29 December.

    • 1112044 – ÍTH Christmas Workshop

      Introduction to the opening of holiday clubs over Christmas and New Year.
