    • 1109130 – Sports activities, autumn start

      A sports representative reported on the start of the autumn sports season in Hafnarfjörður.

      Introduction to the autumn start of the 2012 sports programme.

    • Sports facilities, maintenance issues

      The Sports Officer reviewed the main points regarding the maintenance of sports facilities in the City of Hafnarfjörður during the year.

    • 1209322 – A communication from UMFÍ regarding the MOW WEEK project.

      A letter from UMFÍ dated 10 September 2012 was presented. The aim is to get as many Europeans as possible to be active during the first week of October.

    • 1202073 – Strategic planning of the Culture and Tourism Committee in tourism.

      The above-mentioned policy proposal was presented, together with a letter from the cultural and tourism representative on behalf of the committee, requesting comments on the proposal.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee agrees on the need for increased cooperation in welcoming tourists to the town. Emphasis is placed on the importance of the sports clubs and the sports facilities in this regard. Particular emphasis is placed on the sports and outdoor recreation area and the importance of the water in Hafnarfjörður and its splendid swimming spots for everyone.

    • 1209342 – Cuxhaven, invitation to visit

      The acting Head of Youth and Leisure Affairs reports on an invitation from the Cuxhaven fair.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee agrees to accept the offer, and instructs the acting Head of Youth and Leisure Services to prepare the project.

    • 1209343 – Housing for the Office of Youth Affairs

      The Acting Director of Youth and Leisure Affairs reviews the accommodation of the Youth Affairs Office.

      The aim is for all youth and leisure activities to be moved from the „Old Library“ at Mjósund before the New Year.
