    • 0801164 – Ásvellir, new hall and stand

      Helgi Már Halldórsson, an architect, attended the meeting and presented drawings of a new hall and changing rooms at the Haukar Sports Centre, and a cost estimate based on the preliminary designs by ASK Architects. The working group on the development of Ásvellir requests a review of the preliminary designs from the sports and leisure committee.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee instructs Herði Þorsteinsson to submit a review in light of the discussion at the meeting.

      The IBA's allocation of time for its member associations in sports facilities for the 2008-2009 season was presented.

      A discussion was held about the report on the participation of children of foreign origin in sports and youth work, which was presented on 21 May.

      Information was presented on applications from youth clubs for the project.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee instructs the Chair and the Director of Youth Affairs to process the applications.
