  A report on the prospective collaboration between Setbergsskóli and the youth centre Zeturinn, requested by the school's headteacher, concerning a club for younger children at the school's after-school club.

  The Sports and Leisure Committee welcomes the project and instructs the department head to proceed with it.

  A summary was presented for information on sports matters under the 2009 budget, concerning operating and service charges under agreements, rent costs, and other support.

• 0811040 – Sports and Awards Gala 2008

  A discussion about the sports and awards ceremony held on Monday, 29th December, in the sports hall by the Strandgata, attended by a large crowd. All those who became Icelandic, Cup and Nordic champions with sports clubs from Hafnarfjörður were honoured. In addition, the Sportsperson of the Year 2008 for Hafnarfjörður and the Sports Team of the Year 2008 were also named.

  The Sports and Leisure Committee congratulates all Hafnarfjörður athletes of the year 2008 on their excellent achievements.;

• Attendance figures for swimming pools 2008

  A summary from the sports representative on attendance figures at the town's swimming pools in 2008 was presented for information. The total attendance at the swimming pools in 2008 was 481,960 visitors.
