    • 0904110 – 17th June celebrations 2009

      A draft programme for the 17th June celebrations, which is largely complete, was presented and the main items on the agenda were reviewed.

    • 0902300 – Summer jobs 2009

      The Operations Manager for Youth Affairs reported on the status of summer recruitment and the summer projects of the Hafnarfjörður Work School.

    • 0804148 – Uppsala, Friendship City Festival 2009

      The Operations Manager for Youth Affairs reported on the Friendship City Festival, which was held in Uppsala, Sweden, from 18th to 24th May. The next festival will be held in Tartu, Estonia, in 2011.

    • 0809308 – Equality initiative in sports and leisure activities

      An update was provided on the progress of the action plan regarding dropout from sports and leisure activities.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee encourages all parties to take the action plan into account in all planning.;

    • 0708232 – Graffiti

      The Operations Manager for Youth Affairs reported on the graffiti project, which has received a grant from Europe for Young People. The project has been successful and, according to the project manager, has yielded positive results.

    • 0905225 – ÍBH, Time allocation to member clubs in sports facilities

      The Sports Representative submitted for information the allocation of time by the Hafnarfjörður Sports Association to its member clubs for swimming pools, sports halls and football pitches for the year 2009-2010, in accordance with the new allocation rules of the HSA.

    • 0905226 – Subsidies, Spring Term 2009 overview

      The Sports Representative presented an overview of the subsidies for the spring term of 2009 for information.

    • 0905227 – Presentation of grants for sports activities for 16-year-olds and younger, in accordance with the agreement between ÍBH, the City of Hafnarfjörður and Alcan.

      The Sports Representative reported on the presentation of grants for sports activities for under-16s, first allocation, in accordance with the agreement between ÍBH, the City of Hafnarfjörður and Alcan. The allocation will take place on 4 June in Straumsvík.

    Applications

    • 0905231 – BH Table Tennis Section, grant application

      A proposal from Steinar Stephansson, Chairman of the Table Tennis Section of the Hafnarfjörður Badminton Club, dated 24th May, has been submitted, requesting a grant for the purchase of table tennis tables and the basic equipment that comes with the sport. Times are also requested at the Sports Hall on Strandgata.

      Hörður Þorsteinsson left the meeting during this item.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee approves a grant of kr. 200,000 for the application and instructs the Sports Officer to finalise it. Furthermore, the request for time allocation is referred to the time allocation of the Hafnarfjörður Sports Association.

    Minutes

    • 0702036 – Kaplakrika Sports Hall, construction works

      Work meeting minutes for the information of the works at Kaplakriki from 20th May last submitted for information.

    • 0905228 – Field trip to the FH Kaplakrika Sports Centre

      After the meeting, a site visit was made to the FH Kaplakrika Sports Centre.
