Hot water outage in Hafnarfjörður and elsewhere from the evening of 8 November
Due to repairs on the South Line, there will be no hot water in Garðabær, Álftanes, Hafnarfjörður, Kópavogur and Breiðholt from 10 p.m. on Wednesday, 8th November until 7 a.m. on Thursday, 9th November.

Due to repairs on the South Pipe, there will be no hot water in Garðabær, Álftanes, Hafnarfjörður, Kópavogur and Breiðholti from 10 p.m. on Wednesday, 8th November. The hot water is scheduled to be turned back on in approximately five hours, and the utility company expects full pressure to be restored to all residents in the area by around 7 a.m. on Thursday, 9 November.
It is important that residents have turned off the taps to prevent accidents and damage when the water is turned back on. Homeowners are also advised to check their internal systems. When water is turned back on to a large pipework system after a shut-off, it is common for leaks to occur. In such cases, it is important to report them so that action can be taken as soon as possible.
