How did you experience the Christmas Village? How can we improve it? We'd like your feedback and have launched a short online survey that gives us the opportunity to tailor the village even better for you.
The Christmas Village of Hafnarfjörður has been an annual event since 2003. It is a project that we, the people of Hafnarfjörður, can be extremely proud of. „Over the years, the Christmas Village has grown and flourished, firmly establishing itself among the people of Hafnarfjörður. It has had a positive impact on the town's social and commercial life. Residents and visitors of all ages have enjoyed the run-up to Christmas in a unique way,“ says Sunna Magnúsdóttir, Project Manager for Culture and Tourism.
„A wide variety of cultural events and activities related to our cherished Christmas traditions have always been on offer, with a strong emphasis on creating a platform and an environment where everyone can enjoy themselves and find something to their liking.“
Work is now beginning to analyse the setting, events, and how we can further enhance what is on offer in our Christmas Village.
„We want to build on our strong foundations and ensure that residents and visitors of all ages enjoy the togetherness in the run-up to Christmas. We want to continue to make the Christmas Village a fun event that we can all be proud of. We are looking ahead to the coming years and how we can further consolidate and improve it, so that the Christmas Village is here for the long term,“ she says.
