Roadworks – Refugee Road
The Highways Department has given permission for the following works, weather permitting. on Thursday 17 September between 9:00 and 21:00.
The Highways Department has given permission for the following works, weather permitting. on Thursday 17 September between 9:00 and 21:00. Please note the closures at Kaldárselsveg and Ásvallabraut in particular.
- Resurfacing of Refugee Road between Vífilsstaðavegur and UrriðaholtsvegurRefugee Route Vol 1). The works will be carried out from 09:00 to 16:00, on Thursday, 17th September. The road will be closed to traffic while works are carried out.
- Resurfacing on Refugee Road between Coldarselsvegur and Urriðaholtsvegar (Refugee Route Vol 2). The works will be carried out from 2 pm to 9 pm Thursday, 17th September. The road will be closed to traffic while works are carried out.
The work areas are narrow and people and equipment are working very close to the roads. Motorists are therefore asked to obey the signs and speed limits, and to exercise caution in the work areas.
