Due to roadworks, Breiðhella, between Gjáhella and Tinhella, will be closed. Friday 27th September from 10 am to 7 pm. The road is being resurfaced and is closed while the work is carried out.

Due to roadworks, Breiðhella, between Gjáhella and Tinhella, will be closed. Friday 27th September from 10 am to 7 pm. The road is being resurfaced and is closed for the duration of the work. A diversion is in place via Bárðarbót Road and on to the Reykjanesbraut. To enter the area, you must take the Reykjanesbraut, use the slip road at the Aluminium Smelter to turn around, and then rejoin Bárðarbót Road.
