Swimming and culture over Easter 2023
Hafnarfjörður's primary schools will break for the Easter holidays after Friday, 31 March. Normal school activities will resume on Tuesday, 11 April. Hafnarfjörður's nurseries will be open on weekdays during Holy Week, excluding public holidays, from 6 April to 10 April. The same applies to the City of Hafnarfjörður service centre at Strandgata 6 and the Norðurhellu 2 service centre. Opening hours for swimming pools and museums are as follows. Hafnarfjörður's nurseries will be open on weekdays during Holy Week, excluding bank holidays. They will be closed from 6 April to 10 April. The same applies to the City of Hafnarfjörður's service centre at Strandgata 6 and the Norðurhellu service centre at Norðurhellu 2. The Healthy City of Hafnarfjörður is in many ways a unique town, not least for its lively and entertaining town centre, charming harbour area and good access to diverse and beautiful natural gems. Many Interesting places are within walking distance of the town centre, for example Hellisgerði, Víðistaðatún, Lækurinn and Hamarinn, in addition to which residents of Hafnarfjörður enjoy the luxury of having Helgafell, Hvaleyrarvatn, Ásfjall and Ástjörn in their back garden.
