Swimming pools closed from 5 June
The three swimming pools in Hafnarfjörður will be closed indefinitely, until an agreement is reached, from midnight on the night of Sunday, 5th June, due to a strike by the staff of the swimming pools in the Hafnarfjörður Staff Association.

All swimming pool operations will be cancelled while the strike is ongoing. The strike is indefinite, and therefore it is not known how long the swimming pools will remain closed.
Open at Ásmegin and GYM Health in Ásvallalaug
Please note that the Ásmegin physiotherapy clinic and GYM Health at Ásvallalaug will be open every weekday from 9 am to 4 pm. The GYM Heilsu changing rooms will, however, be closed during the strike. GYM Heilsu at the Suðurbæjarlaug will be closed during the strike. Access to the DHL postboxes in the Ásvallalaug lobby will be available from 9 am to 4 pm on all weekdays. The Director of Swimming Pools, Aðalsteinn Hrafnkelsson, is the only member of staff at Hafnarfjörður's swimming venues working during the strike. Aðalsteinn can be reached on 664-5790.
