Tea with the Hafnarfjörður Youth Council
At the end of April, the Youth Council of Hafnarfjörður invited representatives of all parties standing in the 2026 local elections in Hafnarfjörður to a tea party, with the aim of discussing issues concerning young people. Topics included education, the environment, healthcare, and the future of Hafnarfjörður. The event was a great success, and the candidates and youth council representatives got on well.

All six parties sent representatives to the venue, and the youth council provided delicious refreshments, including waffles. The youth council compiled the topics that have been at the forefront of its work this winter and, ahead of the tea party, also invited suggestions from young people in Hafnarfjörður via the internet. Youth council representatives led the discussions and ensured that the candidates rotated between tables, giving them the opportunity to discuss different policy areas. Among the topics discussed were Education, the environment, healthcare and the future of Hafnarfjörður.
