The Lifelapse 2024 has begun – let's take part!

The Life Course is a health and motivational project by the Icelandic Sports and Olympic Association that appeals to all age groups. The Life Run encourages everyone across the country to consider their daily physical activity and increase it as much as possible, for example in their free time, at work, at school and when choosing how to travel. The Healthy City of Hafnarfjörður encourages everyone who is interested to take part!

The Lifelapse is a health and motivational project by the Icelandic Sports and Olympic Association that appeals to all age groups.

Í The Lifeshlaupinu Everyone is encouraged to consider their daily physical activity and increase it as much as possible, i.e. in their leisure time, at work, at school and when choosing a mode of transport. The Directorate of Health's guidelines on physical activity recommend that children and adolescents should be active for at least 60 minutes a day, and adults for at least 30 minutes a day. Further information on the physical activity guidelines can be found on the website Office of the Chief Medical Officer. The health-promoting town of Hafnarfjörður encourages everyone interested to take part!

The Lifeshlupid is divided into four competitions:

  • Primary school competition for under-15s from 7th – 20th February
  • Secondary school competition for 16 and over from 7th – 20th February
  • Workplace competition from 7th – 27th February
  • 67+ Fitness Groups from 7th – 27th February

All physical activity can be counted, provided it totals at least 30 minutes a day for adults and at least 60 minutes a day for children and young people. Workplaces, schools and individuals are encouraged to take part, thereby using the opportunity to strengthen body and soul through daily physical activity.
