The Little Elf House in Oddrúnarbæ
The City of Hafnarfjörður has entered into an agreement with the company Litlu Álfabúðina for the operation of a facility in the City of Hafnarfjörður's Hellisgerði property. The operation is intended to strengthen the City of Hafnarfjörður's image as a town of elves.
The City of Hafnarfjörður has entered into an agreement with Tinna Bessadóttir, an entrepreneur and businesswoman par excellence, for the operation of a business in a City-owned property in Hellisgerði. She owns and runs The Little Elf Shop, and the venture is intended to strengthen the image of Hafnarfjörður as the elves' town.
A small shop will be in the premises, focusing on Icelandic design, Icelandic and Hafnarfjörður souvenirs. It will also be possible to buy refreshments and borrow blankets and baskets to enjoy everything that Hellisgerði has to offer. The service is aimed at international and domestic visitors, but especially at local families and friends from Hafnarfjörður who know all the possibilities and splendour that Hellisgerði has to offer. Hellisgerði is the city centre's ornamental garden and recreational area, and this enjoyable addition will ensure it continues to serve that role.
