It was a hive of activity at Hraunvallar School as the children welcomed the Mayor, Rósa Guðbjartsdóttir, who was celebrating Children's Day with them. Hraunvallaskóli was established in 2008. It is located at Drekavellir 9 and employs 40 staff for over 100 children. The school is unique in that it operates both a nursery and a primary school. Children can therefore attend the school from the age of 16 months until they are sixteen years old..
