The Memmm open nursery has launched its summer programme. Sessions are available twice a week in various locations across Hafnarfjörður and Reykjavík. The nursery will be at both Hellisgerði and Víðistaðatún.

Memmm, the open nursery, is moving its activities outdoors this summer. Twice a week, you can take part and enjoy spending time with other parents, guardians and their children. Up to 50 families have met at the Memmm open nursery on Monday mornings at Selhællan. Mayor Valdimar Víðisson recently came to see the activity and paid a visit.

Summer programme in June

The summer programme for these fun family mornings will now run twice a week until the end of June in the capital area – with barbecues and fun.

If you have a little one who enjoys meeting their peers, it's a great idea to pop into the open nursery, have a coffee, chat with other parents or carers, and let the children play.

Where will the meet-ups be?

  • 11 June – Elliðaárstöðin
  • 16 June – Hellisgerði
  • 18 June – Nordic House
  • 23 June – Hellisgerði
  • 25th June – BBQ in Gufunesbær
  • 30th June – BBQ in Víðisstaðatún

Everyone is welcome to come together to enjoy nature and the wonderful outdoor areas found in our local area.

Memmm is an open play centre that provides facilities for play and meeting other families. You are welcome to visit Memmm at any time during opening hours. The staff warmly welcome visitors, offer coffee and run singing sessions. The service is free of charge.
