The motorway will be closed at three different locations throughout the day tomorrow, Tuesday 8th April, due to ground drilling. Traffic will be diverted.

The Ásbraut will be closed to traffic tomorrow, Tuesday 8th April, in three locations throughout the day. First, between 8 am and 11 am from Kirkjutorgi to Vallartorg, westbound carriageway. Then between 11 am and 2 pm between Vallartorg and Kirkjutorgi, eastbound carriageway. Then between 14:00 and 18:00 from Hrauntorg to Vallartorg, the northbound carriageway will be closed. Traffic will be diverted via the main roads. The road is closed due to boreholes for a sewer system. Holes will be drilled into the lava bedrock.
- 8 April, 08:00 – 11:00. Asbraut: Kirkjutorg – Vallatorg, westbound lane.
- 8th April, 11:00 – 14:00. Service Road: Vallatorg – Kirkjutorg, eastbound lane.
- 8th April, 14:00 – 18:00 Ásbraut: Hraunatorg – Vallatorg, northbound lane
